The Team Behind the Team.
There is a lot of sharing in the design community in Boston. If a designer runs into an issue, needs a second opinion, or, like we did recently, is looking for a vendor, she just has to ping her network and someone will always offer a hand.
We’ve had designer friends (and clients!) over the years ask for recommendations for letterpress printers, rubber stamp makers, customized coffee mugs…you name it. Luckily we work with some great people I love referring work to. Here are some of our best/favorite/most often used/lifesaver vendors we prefer to call partners. Bonus: They’re all local!
Short Run Printing
TPI: Waltham, MA
From invitations to brochures, proofs and one-off centerpieces, TPI has come through for our client projects. Fast turnaround, quality product, competitive costs.
Century Type: Boston, MA
Dennis at Century Type as been printing our Etsy cards for years as well as client projects and even mockups of our portfolio pieces for photo shoots. Their new space in the Newmarket neighborhood of Boston means even more room for their great work to happen.
CPS: Norwell, MA
New to our team of go-to vendors, CPS really stepped it up with a few last minute holiday client projects and may even be working with us on a Someone Creative gift idea. One of the best parts: an in-house machine that can do as few as one hat or tee with our design. Game changer.
Hemlock Ink: Somerville, MA
These guys. Couldn’t be friendlier or easier to work with. Hemlock is our first call for apparel like the super soft shirts you’ll get from Brewer’s Fork. They’ve even printed film of our designs for our own screen printing projects.
Photo and Video
Studio Nouveau: Waltham, MA
I can’t say enough about Lara Woolfson and Studio Nouveau. Not only are we best friends and share a studio space, but her eye for curation, level of energy, and creative ideas know no bounds. You’ll see a fraction of her work in our portfolio shots.
Lucent Films: Framingham, MA
We can’t wait to work with Justin on a video for a new website for one of our dear clients. He has so much passion for video work that spans bikes, weddings, crossfit, ballet, etc. And is super-dad to boot.
Dear Rose Studio: Scituate, MA
Calligraphy goddess. Cara knocks it out of the park with her meticulous craftsmanship, bright ideas, and attention to detail. Of course she is also one of the THE funniest people we’ve ever met, which means we need even more of her in our lives.
Monique Aimee: CT & MA
We recently hired Monique to redo the chalkboard menus for Moody’s Delicatessen & Provisions, giving her some of the recent projects we’ve done for inspiration. She took it from there and produced gorgeous, sophisticated work that made our clients truly happy.
