An Investment in Your Business.
As a small business ourselves, we get the pressures: revenue flow, overdue invoices, too much to do (or – yikes! – nothing at all), life-work balance issues. Yep. We also know from talking to many of our clients and potential clients that the thought of shelling out a bunch of money for a logo seems like…a waste. In the short term? Maybe. But if you want your business to be sustainable, trusted, and professional, you’ve got to think long-term. And long-term – especially in today’s highly designed world – means a great logo, consistent and appealing brand identity, well-designed marketing materials and a cool but easy-to-navigate website.
Basically: you’ve got to look like you have your shit together.
Through our years of working with many small businesses and start-ups, testing and learning what works, what is truly necessary, and what can come later, we have developed our Small Business and Start-Up Branding package. Don’t (yet) have the tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars big agencies and firms charge for a logo and brand visual identity? Quality branding doesn’t have to be out of reach. Our package – starting at $4200 – includes the essential pieces you need to give your business a professional, unique, polished look. Right now:
- Business card*
- Style Guide
Our logo design process begins with conversations with our clients and the creation of a creative brief describing the project and desired outcome so we are all on the same page. At the studio, we do more research into the industry, history, competition, etc., then take all of the information and start sketching.
Our first presentation includes two–three logo design concepts shown both alone and in context of a business card design and usually a social media page. With feedback, we revise one chosen sketch through a defined number of rounds.
Deliverables include a final logo in various file formats, including sized for most social media platforms, as well as a PDF style guide which outlines “rules” for your new branding. These rules include colors, typography recommendations (including font licenses – don’t make that potentially costly mistake!) and how to use (or not use) your new logo.
The PDF serves as your guide to creating a consistent, cohesive brand through your visuals and marketing materials. It’s how the big boys make their brands look memorable and polished. And when you’re a small company just getting started, being able to DIY some of your materials is definitely a cost saver – and a brand strengthener. Consistency is the key to building brand recognition.
* On approval, we will give recommendations for printing and shepard business cards through the proof and printing processes with one of our trusted vendors. Because business card costs vary widely depending on quantity as well as what will work best for YOUR brand (letterpress, digital, diecuts, foil-stamping, etc.), printing costs are not included in the package, but can be spec’d and provided.
Don’t worry; we aren’t going anywhere. Logos and brand identities are exciting to create, but the bigger thrill for us is being a good partner, helping you grow with your brand and designing marketing materials and websites that generate results.
Get in touch today and let’s talk about what your company needs in your ultimate branding package. We’ve added a menu for restaurants, an icon for apps, letterhead, envelopes, and certainly websites – whatever your small business or start-up needs to get off the ground, let’s make it happen.
