Honesty, Compassion, Respect.
We recently completed a few projects for The Fessenden School in West Newton, Massachusetts. Fessy is an 100-year old independent boys’ boarding and day school for Pre-K–Grade 9 with state-of-the-art facilities, curriculum, and programs. It was truly a pleasure to work with the great team at the school, and put together some materials using their new brand guidelines – but providing a twist on tradition, as we are known and prone to do.
Annual Giving at Fessenden
The first piece the Fessenden Annual & Capital Programs department requested was a brochure for annual giving. There was a ton of content to include, and the only requirement besides fitting it all in, was that it should be mailable in a standard envelope.
Once we got the puzzle of the content flow going, we decided on a double parallel fold. This means when the reader opens it once, they can read one message or – in this case – and introductory message. When they unfold again, the rest of the content, in mostly a Q&A format, is revealed. Mixed in are some quotes from alums, all on a foundation of dynamic shapes and a mix of typography that all stays within Fessenden’s brand guidelines, but kicks it up a notch or two.
Leadership Event Invitation
The leadership event is a high-end dinner for major donors to Fessy. We used the dynamic shapes, color breaks and mix of typography the team loved from the annual giving piece in the invitation and email save-the-date to push home the connection between this audience and the giving campaigns. Results: a 20% increase in attendees over the previous year. We heard it was a fabulous party.
We look forward to working with The Fessenden School on more projects in 2017!
