On Sunday January 20, I visited my studiomates at a pretty unconventional and awesome event: Lovesick Wedding Expo. Normally wedding events have a ton of vendors, you can barely get through half, and you just leave feeling overwhelmed with information but underwhelmed with quality.
Oh how this has changed the game! Definitely not an overload of vendors but yes, the kind of vendors you want: innovative, interesting, funky – the kind of people you would be friends with. Isn’t that everything your wedding should have and more?

Obviously, when we talk innovative, interesting, funky and friends, I automatically think Studio Nouveau. These ladies are the ultimate artists, and I enjoy working on all their branding efforts like no one else. For this show we decided to do a fun, useful giveaway: lip balm. With… a lip balm holder! I mean, all those times you cannot for the life of you find that friggin chapstick that fell who knows where in your purse – forget it! Throw a Pucker Up sleeve on that bad boy, attach it to your keys, bag, bra strap, whatever. We have saved the day and the world from nasty chapped lips. You’re welcome.
Some other cool vendors, things and acts I witnessed at the show really have me looking forward to Someone Creative’s next venture! Expect a big announcement in the next few months. Until then, I leave you in suspense and with some cute ideas.
Fabulous cake creations from Amanda Oakleaf in Winthrop.
Smudge Ink out of Charlestown has super cute designs! Just insert details, pick colors and go.
I thought Henry and Mac had a pretty cool booth – more lifestyle than salesy. Can’t say whether it garnered them a ton of traffic but definitely made me think about how I display stuff on my bookshelf.
So I REALLY wish I could remember and could FIND the name of this band! They were just the coolest. Switched up hats between songs, handlebar mustaches, accordion, upright bass, flutist in a maybe 12 piece ensemble?! LOVE.
PS. Apparently there is a thing with circus performers. Boston Circus Guild can provide entertainers for your wedding. Super strong people hanging on sheets attached to the ceiling, lovely ladies with golden hoops, trapeze probably. This is how I knew Lovesick Expo really had it all and something for everyone awesome.

Girlfriend!! I was right there with you on the band — and believe it or not, they were part of the Boston Circus Guild. Check it out. Amazing. http://www.bostoncircusguild.com/
Thanks so much for coming – it was great to see you as always – and thanks even more for the amazeballs review!!
